Matthew Irvine is the driving force behind our firm, bringing a wealth of experience from a diverse range of businesses with turnovers from a few hundred thousand to over £400 million. As the Founder and a Virtual Finance Director, Matthew combines strategic financial insight with a hands-on approach to business management.

With a career that spans multiple continents, including extensive experience in the Middle East, Matthew has a proven track record of implementing company-wide systems and processes that drive efficiency and growth. His leadership has been instrumental in heading up numerous finance teams, ensuring that each organisation operates at its peak.

Kelly Irvine brings 16 years of corporate pension experience to her role as Practice Manager, combining deep expertise with exceptional customer service skills. She excels in handling customer requests and queries, ensuring that every interaction is smooth and satisfactory.

Kelly is adept at streamlining processes for both the team and the organisation, documenting these processes meticulously to ensure clarity and efficiency. Her problem-solving skills shine when addressing customer or system issues, making her an invaluable asset to the team.

Sommer brings a strong background in operations to her role as Client Support Assistant, having worked across multiple branches of a leading UK pharmacy chain as Assistant Manager. Over a short period, Sommer progressed from Customer Advisor to Assistant Manager, gaining hands-on experience in staff scheduling, financial audits, sales planning, and delivering high-quality customer service. Whilst in full-time employment Sommer completed her AAT qualification.

Known for her attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities, Sommer approaches challenges with a practical and solution-focused mindset. She is committed to providing excellent customer service, and ensuring processes run smoothly and efficiently, for both clients and her team.

Sam brings a strong blend of practice experience and commercial finance expertise to her role as Digital Accountant. With a background spanning accountancy firms and hands-on roles within growing businesses, Sam combines technical knowledge with a practical understanding of how finance functions operate day to day.

Part-qualified in both ACCA and CIMA, and holding a BSc in Accounting and Finance, Sam has experience preparing year-end accounts, VAT returns, personal tax returns and P11Ds, as well as managing her own client portfolio within practice. She is confident working across a range of cloud-based systems, ensuring financial information is accurate, compliant and up to date.

Before moving fully into practice, Sam held a senior accounts and business administration role within a busy owner-managed business, where she managed payroll, pensions, credit control and financial reporting. This hands-on commercial experience allows her to understand the operational challenges business owners face and provide support that is both technically sound and commercially aware.

Detail-oriented and methodical in her approach, Sam plays a key role in maintaining robust digital finance systems for our clients, helping turn financial data into reliable, actionable information that supports confident decision-making.
